Hi ghoulies! Yesterday was Valloween for me (because why not make Valentine’s Day a little spooky?), but I know that for some, it can be a hard day—especially for those of us who aren’t in a relationship.
Want to know a secret? I’ve never had a Valentine. Not a real one. My relationships have been short-lived, and none of them happened around Valentine’s Day. So, I’ve never been kissed or given flowers on that day.
But you know what? That doesn’t make me too sad. Of course, I can’t wait to find that special someone to share the day of love with, but until then, I’ve learned to become my own Valentine. I create art and stories, and I share them with all of you, my ghoulies—and that fills my heart in ways I never expected.
It’s taught me something important: sometimes, the best love we can have is the love we give to ourselves. We make our own happiness. And when we do find someone to share it with? That’s just the icing on the (spooky) cake.
So if yesterday felt a little lonely, remember this—you are worthy of love every day, and the love you give to yourself is just as important as the love you hope to receive from someone else.
Love you all, my ghoulies! 🖤
